DVD ROM disks, floppy disks, flash drives, etc.Storing  data ROM and RAM are both made up of memory cells, Each memory cell stores binary digits. A chip may be able to store millions of bits. It is easy to see that the size of the computers RAM is important because RAM has room for it. With some computers, it is possible to add  plain memory chips to increase the RAM.
